He’s Be Proud of You!
Jesus is proud of you for moving beyond low-consciousness Christianity. (And for some of you it was a literal escape!)
Jesus never intended to start a Religion based largely on guilt and defined by saying a prayer that gets you into a sky Heaven that he didn’t even believe in.
He’s proud of you for questioning a guilt-inducing system that uses a cheat code to paradise as a bypass to living an intentional life.
He’s be proud of you for asking tough questions and having the agency to change your mind now that you have more experience and information.
Jesus never intended the Church’s eventual marriage to Rome in his name. He was about empowering the powerless, giving them permission to reject the stories of Power (with a capital P.) Likewise any semblance of the original lifestyle Jesus proposed was lost once his teachings were incorporated into the Empire.
He’s be proud of you for having the insight and perspective to realize that his message was never meant for the powerful or as a path to wealth and comfort.
He’s proud of you for moving beyond the same type of people and instituions who rejected him and his message.
Jesus didn’t believe in the Heaven and Hell of today’s low-consciousness Christianity. Jesus taught in parables, and so these references we’ve interpreted as being about some eternal experience that never ends is merely our own misunderstanding.
He’s proud of you for being brave enough to live your life with the courage to trust that it’s OK to move beyond a system you’ve outgrown towards greater LOVE.
Jesus never intended himself to be viewed as a savior from an angry god. Rather Jesus taught that the Divine resides within all, and he set out to be an example of what was possible for others.
He’d be proud of you for seeing beyond the surface of his metaphoric message and realizing that when he said the greatest commandment was to love the Divine with all your heart, and also to love others as yourself, that all of these things and all of these actions are forever intertwined; as the Divine is a part of us all.
Enjoy today! Enjoy your life!!
I’m sure I could go on and on, but my primary point has hopefully been made.
Give yourself a high five for rejecting, or at least strongly questioning, the low-consciousness interpretation that’s been made of Jesus’s message, lifestyle, and intent.
Be grateful for the courage you’ve demonstrated.
Be grateful for the agency that’s allowed you to take action.
Be grateful that the Divine resides within all of LIFE, and it’s an inseparable part of each of us, and no individual or institution will ever have a monopoly on this unspeakable mystery.
And be grateful for the mystery, and for the permission we allow ourselves that we may never have it all figured out in this lifetime, but everyday we are moving toward greater and greater truth.
Celebrate the progress you’ve made.
Celebrate the progress that’s ahead.
Celebrate the freedom from religion that you’ve earned.
Go do something fun today.
Go and enjoy your life!!
Blessings❤️
Just the encouragement I needed this Easter. Thanks, Bodhi
