The Divine Intelligence of Water
Water Researcher Veda Austin Reveals Her Collaboration with the Individuals from The Telepathy Tapes in a New Interview with Pam Gregory

“The supreme good is like water, which nourishes all things without trying to.
It flows to low places loathed by all men. Therefore, it is like the Tao.”
-Tao Te Ching
The Return of Magic
As I fell into the mystical I was amazed to see how our world is created and operates more like a magical role-playing game rather than the cold, mechanistic model our science is determined to stick with.
I’m not saying science is wrong, just that it’s limited; closed.
Yes, molecules and atoms are real, and understanding that level of existence is of great importance to humanity. But somehow we’ve managed to strip away most of the beauty (and all of the magic) from our world along the way.
So life seems complex, uneven, and mostly random.
But as we dive headlong into the mystical we soon see there is Divine Order in all things. I’m not just talking about this from a Sunday morning sermon perspective where I share a couple of Bible verses and then throw out a few random nature stories.
The Divine Order goes far deeper than that.
It pervades all things.
The Ancient Mystical Principle of the Four Elements
One of the most ancient foundations within all mystical traditions around the globe is that of the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water.
The principle is that the Divine uses these four elements to manifest all creation.
The Earth element represents structure and form. It’s potential actualized. Earth provides the foundation from which life can be formed and nourished. It's also where the abstract becomes concrete, where ideas take shape, and where the spiritual journey finds practical application.
The Air Element manifests as breath, space, and sound. It’s the element of connection, communication, and thought; which carries with it Divine inspiration, intuition, and illumination. Air is simultaneously emptiness, yet more than void; it’s the field of infinite potential from where Divine creativity emerges.
The Fire Element represents energy, transformation, and illumination. The Divine uses fire to initiate, and to transmute one form into another, symbolizing the eternal cycle of creation—> destruction—> recreation1 that all things pass through, from the cosmos to the neverending spiritual development of our own souls. And the illumination of fire allows creation to be perceived and appreciated.
The Water Element embodies feelings, connections, and transitions. It is the source of all life, a medium of purification, and the carrier of memory. Water cleanses, refreshes, and dissolves. It represents our unconscious mind, both personal and the collective, where divine inspiration waits patiently to be revealed.
You can see that each of these elements work at not only the literal level, but also at the metaphorical and symbolic levels.
And what makes the principle of the four elements so profound is not just the elements themselves, but their harmonious interaction. The Divine creates not just with isolated elements but through their dynamic relationships:
The earth element is infused with water and the breath, nourished by the warmth of the sun, bringing about life itself.
And certainly the earth element represents within it the countless minerals and essential building blocks, such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, and nitrogen, among countless others.
Here’s one symbolic way the mystics have envisioned the four elements’ role in the very existence of life:
And, for those with eyes to see, there’s a certain symbology in the above image that sums up not only our entire existence within the Earth school, but also gives new meaning to what the symbol of “the cross” truly represents.
Some mystics teach that the cross represents the crucible of the four elements which make up the Earth. The oldest symbol of the four elements is actually an encircled cross.
Taking up our cross and following the example of our favorite mystic from 2000 years ago is simply referring to the way in which we engage our existence within the Earth school, (but that’s a whole other article waiting to be written.)
Heaven and Earth
Our modern science has done a marvelous job of dissecting and cataloging things.
I don’t want to deemphasize or ignore science. I want to see us begin to arrive at a place where we see all these things we currently label as “science” and “spirituality”, two areas many see as impossibly far apart, fuse together into something we simply call Reality.
A fusion of spirit and matter.
Divine Father meets Earthly Mother.
A renewal of our ancient spiritual principles enhanced through the support of our many scientific discoveries of recent centuries.
I will say, however, that I don’t believe our current Science™ or our current Religions™ will be the ones to get us there.
We need pioneers.
Brave and Smart
One of my favorite pioneers is
. Mona wrote the eye-opening book Proof of Spiritual Phenomena: A Neuroscientist's Discovery of the Ineffable Mysteries of the Universe where she goes into great detail as to why our current scientific system is limited because of the systemic fear it’s created among scientists to explore truly interesting topics such as psi phenomena.Psi phenomena are those experiences or abilities that appear to transcend the normal limitations of time, space, and sensory perception. In other words it’s the landscape of magic and miracles. Telepathy, clairvoyance, energy healing, NDEs, and even the ability to access deep history via the Akashic record (or Quantum Information Field.)
Individuals like Mona are both brave and smart. Brave because the consequences of acknowledging the reality of such phenomena can be severe from an employment perspective, closing off many traditional scientific job opportunities. And smart because true intelligence requires us to remain open to all possibilities while also maintaining the proper skepticism and rigor to filter out the nonsense.
Mona’s own research has found that a large percentage of scientists have actually experienced psi phenomena themselves in their own lives, but they know if they speak up about it publicly it could inhibit or even end their careers.
It takes courage to go first. And Mona and her colleagues will one day be seen as some of the earliest and most important pioneers of bridging science and spirituality.
Another Pioneer
Recently a dear friend2 sent me the recent interview between Pam Gregory and Veda Austin. Veda is a researcher who’s spent the last decade studying what she calls the intelligence of water. She also has a wonderful book detailing her research.
Veda is another pioneer whose curiosity drives her to explore topics largely overlooked by mainstream science.
I’d had a vague memory of coming across some research on water years ago and knew there was definitely something powerful to be explored, but I hadn’t made the time to fully look into it.
Clearly I’ve been missing out.
Veda’s research uses macroscopic photography to observe and document what she interprets as water's responses to music, frequencies, words, and pictures, as well as water’s responses to human consciousness via thoughts and emotions; all of this allowing Veda to conclude that water is an intelligent, responsive entity.
Now it’s important to point out that research of this nature comes under heavy criticism from mainstream academic science in the same way many other semi-mystical topics do, such as plant consciousness, morphic resonance, and cymatics.
So it was thrilling to see Veda’s recent interview with Pam Gregory, during which Veda reveals for the first time that she’s been working with some of the individuals from The Telepathy Tapes podcast to validate and gain further insight into the nature of water.
The interview is worth watching in full and I’d like to highlight just a few of my favorite insights that came from Veda’s work with these remarkable individuals.
And I’ll challenge you before we get into their words to really take it slow and sit with their sentences, all of which are rich with meaning.
In the lines below I’ll be sharing many insights via direct quotes from the remarkable individuals in the autistic non-speaking community, and in fact, I’m going to allow them to do much of the communicating through their own magnificent words.
More than Two Hydrogens and an Oxygen?
Of course we’ve been taught that water is simply a combination of three atoms. This typical reductionist approach to science isn’t wrong, but it seems to be incomplete.
So for the question of water’s deeper meaning and purpose, a young man named Luke had this to say:
Water molecules do matter because the intention of the hydrogen and oxygen are encoded by Source to support and maintain life. These molecules are made to work with, and support, the water spirits and devas.
What we see in Luke’s comment is that he’s saying water has both intent and purpose. That may initially seem like a real stretch for the rational materialist mind, but Veda believes her research has shown that water has sentience, or is at least responsive in ways beyond what we currently comprehend. And Luke’s own reference to “water spirits and devas” also lends weight to the idea of sentience, whether we take the particular words as literal or metaphorical.
Higher Conscious Communication?
Veda’s work often involves what she calls hydroglyphs, which are symbols that show up in the ice based upon prompts that she shares.
Often these hydroglyphs look like everyday objects, matching the image they were prompted with. But recently a new hydroglyph has appeared within Veda’s research that seems to look like coding or even language. Here are a couple of example images:
And it was these types of coding/language hydroglyphs that Veda shared with some of the autistic community. Many of them responded that it was in fact a form of written communication and that the message revolved around the concept of a doorway, or an opening into something new.
One young man named Daniel described the hydroglyphs as follows:
They are doorways into another realm of consciousness. Each code is a doorway, each little line is a doorway. It represents God consciousness experiencing itself as multiple doorways, as God consciousness expresses itself through multiple humans. Veda is uncovering something that has not been seen before. She is unveiling a consciousness that is ready to be seen, but a direct translation is difficult because it is not writing as we know it, it is all multidimensional form.
One must take into consideration angles, colors, and the way the writing is connected. I want to focus on the word ‘doorway’ because it is the best word I can give to what these hydroglyphs are offering. It is a doorway of a stream of consciousness. It goes deep into the cells of the body because our bodies are made up of water.
It sounds as if he’s saying something new is emerging. That we, as humanity, are passing through a doorway into a space that we’ve not experienced before.
And these last couple of sentences seem to indicate the hydroglyphs contain a message or messages that have the ability to speak to our subconscious. A subconscious message that things are changing.
But these insights are only the beginning, or perhaps an opening into much deeper wisdom. Next Veda asked a very simple question…
“What is water?”
Mikolai responded to the question as follows:
To ask the question
‘What is water?’
one must ask
‘What is the Creator before form?’
And Noah responded to Veda’s question by saying, “Water is the expression of the Creator's first love. It is a being that Creator never wants to separate from. Therefore it's in everything. It's love.”
Sit with these statements.
There are paragraphs of meaning in just a few sentences.
When I hear water “is the Creator before form” and that “it’s a being that Creator never wants to separate from,” I can then imagine water as the substance through which the Creator works through. The element that infuses all sentient life. Water is a powerful way the Creator expresses love in our material world.
Water is life; is love.
For when water is removed from life, everything returns to dust.
Without exception.
Watermarks
A young collaborator named Elsa reinforced this message by saying, “God is in the water.”
And Adrianna described water as follow:
It's embedded in everything. We see water's essence in the watermarks; is the energy not still there? Do we not see that water has been there? We can still feel it.
Can you not hear the water in a shell even after the water is gone? The water still echoes.
So therefore, I would say that yes, indeed, it is a sentient being.
Again, we see that water is the container through which the Creator moves and works. A sign that the Divine has been present.
And Sammie says:
Water is a redeemer. It washes away, much like Source cleansing you. The mysteries of water will dazzle you; dazzle humanity. It indeed reflects Source Creator sentient consciousness. It's the hall of records and the hall of mirrors. It knows all your secrets.
The “hall of records” sounds as if Sammie is speaking of the Akashic, that cosmic record the mystics say contains all events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future, throughout the universe.
And the “hall of mirrors” sounds as if it water reflects back at us in many ways, even beyond the obvious ones. Can we not measure how sick or polluted our populations are by taking water samples? Do we not, as humanity, flock to the edges of large bodies of water, seeking the peace and presence of the Divine, drawn there perhaps by our own Divinity that lies deep within us?
A young lady named Lucy reinforced all of the above when she described water as “Love imprinted with wisdom of creation. Many lessons are held in water, so that the Akashic records would not be necessary if you worked with healed water. In fact the Akashic records are sustained in a semi-etheric state of water; that space where matter, ether, and the breath act as one.”
The Meeting Place
Veda also received some fascinating commentaries on dew, those tiny drops of water appearing on grass, leaves, and other surfaces in the early morning after a nice, cool night.
Noah said dew “is the appreciation between God and nature. It's the moment when they have met, when others haven't been around. It's a peace offering to each other, and it's affirmation or agreement that today everything is perfect and we are here for each other.”
And Brandon described dew “as though God kissed nature and nature gave back. It's a reminder that the two are still together; the shared information and the pureness of energy. It's the time when they get to meet and honor each other, and see each other, and note each other for their beauty, before it's distorted by the gatherings of the day; like star crossed lovers in the night, waiting for the sunset before anyone disrupts them, like a hidden marriage.”
I find the insights shared by these individuals to be incredible on many levels. They are insightful and poetic. Powerful and inspiring.
But not everyone will agree.
There Will Always Be Skeptics
The skepticism around The Telepathy Tapes and everything related to these remarkable, non-speaking mystics has been educational for me.
There’s nothing wrong with critical discernment, and we should absolutely bring discernment to all extraordinary claims and stories.
But there can be a level of intellectual blindness that seems apparent with many skeptics.
I noticed one vocal skeptic recently say something along the lines of “kids don’t talk like this…” and the proper reply to this sort of criticism is three-fold.
First, many of these individuals aren’t kids. They’re often young adults.
Secondly, even if they were kids, parents know that even neurotypical children occasionally share deep wisdom if we’re paying attention.
When our daughter was little I kept an ongoing note in my phone of her best guidance. Some of it was so helpful that my very stressful career actually became easier through regular application.
And I can only imagine the wisdom she might’ve shared if she’d had open access to the other dimensions as these individuals do.
Which brings along the third point, which is that if these individuals are telling us they’re tapping into a greater source of wisdom and knowledge, perhaps even the ultimate Source of wisdom and knowledge, shouldn’t we all allow ourselves even a little bit of intellectual curiosity to explore with an open mind?
Why are we surprised that a Google search reveals that traditional media has nothing good to say about this community and this work? Do we believe traditional media has interest in their worldview being disrupted? Without getting into it too deeply, ask yourself what would happen from an advertising revenue standpoint if the rational-materialist level of consciousness was disrupted?
I’m not blaming the individuals. They’re trapped within a rigid system that cannot be changed. It’s hard to make a move against your own paycheck.
But it’s time to move on. And many people are moving on…
Born Mystics
The Universe is reciprocal. If we see it as a living, magical place filled with miracles and wonder, then that’s exactly what it will become for us.
On the other hand if we view Reality as a dead, sterile environment that must be precisely measured to be believed, then that’s the sad, unmagical world we’ll get to inhabit.
And so we should approach all topics like these with a healthy balance of openness and skepticism.
When I first listened to The Telepathy Tapes, for example, I found it fascinating from the start, but it wasn’t until the mystical abilities and mystical knowing of these individuals began to be shared in the middle and later episodes that I became convinced it was all real.
Why?
Because my deep study of mysticism from sources throughout history and around the globe has given me a very clear picture of what is possible at the higher levels of consciousness.
In humans we reliably see mystical experiences X, Y, & Z again and again, time after time, regardless of century or geography, within high-consciousness individuals. And so when these non-speakers began demonstrating these exact traits and abilities it became immediately clear to me what we were dealing with.
They are born mystics.
What is the Bigger Picture?
In our two previous articles on these individuals featured within The Telepathy Tapes podcast we’ve dug out a deeper theme. Beyond the awe and wonder of their wisdom and their abilities often sits an urgent message.
First, there was Lilly, near the end of the podcast series, with a shocking message for the audience:
Be very mindful that we are about to go through a cataclysmic shift in the understanding of the fundamental nature of our relationship to the Universe and everything in it…
Please, just stop a moment and sit with that sentence.
“…a cataclysmic shift in the understanding of the fundamental nature of our relationship to the Universe…”
We can’t pick and choose. We can’t be awed by the wonders of these individuals on one hand and then ignore particular messages that are too disruptive on the other, especially when they’re recurring.
Because next we had our friend Asher who shared with us recently that…
“The Shift has already started, and the crisis is well underway. Certain people have (at soul/greater Self level) taken on the role of speeding up the process and are stretching the existing system to the breaking point.”
Asher “likens human life at this time to being in a kind of escape room. We have purposely chosen to be shut into an uncomfortable, difficult world, with its emphasis on scientific, rational, non-magical, non-mystical living, surrounded by targets and trials, fears, and separations, in order to test our own ingenuity at finding the way out.”
At the risk off turning this substack apocalyptic I have to ask why this keeps coming up, over and over again, especially with those in the community who seem to be the most mystical; those individuals who seem to have the greatest grasp on their abilities?
And this stream of messaging has continued as Veda has collaborated with them.
During her work, a young lady named Sammie had this to say when she was shown the “doorway” hydroglyphs mentioned above:
The general message of the images is about foundational structure to build or cơ-create the new. The images are like music actually. Sheet music to inform everything that is matter on the planet that a cosmic cycle has closed and a new epoch is beginning. The way the lines are is like foundational structure at the pre-manifestation levels.
A cosmic cycle has closed and a new epoch is beginning?
It sounds as if she’s saying that water is, in a way, communicating not just to us, but to all consciousness on Earth at the moment, that a shift has indeed begun.
Sammie then goes on to say:
Things that are out of tune and out of harmony will cease to exist, because the power of all this is overtaking the planet at rapid rates and cannot be stopped.
We're too far along in the process. No one saw us coming. And the evil ones could not see our true potential.
Even if they tried to stop us with poisons, they did not know that they helped us stay out of the body and bring in something new.
What is happening? How are these individuals bringing in “something new” that is “overtaking the planet at rapid rates and cannot be stopped?”
I believe these non-speaking mystics, historically and mistakenly seen as broken by our society, are actually helping us to see not only who they are, but also who we are.
They are teaching us that Reality is not what we think.
We’ve fallen asleep to our true Divinity, making it about right and wrong, or about some external force, leaving our agency and our destiny in someone else’s hands; or perhaps doing our best to extinguish our connection to the Divine altogether.
But of course this would be impossible.
For the Kingdom of Heaven is within. And we are co-creators, with the wisdom and the power of The Creator within us. Within every cell of our bodies. For this Divine order resides within us, surrounds us, breathes us, is us—if we have the courage to see.
I’m not talking about Bible verses or religious dogma. I’m speaking of Reality.
It seems we’ve been sleeping. Humanity’s been through alot these last couple millenia, and perhaps we needed a nap. A time of rest.
But naptime is over, and it’s time we wake up.
It’s time for things to change. In us. Through us. Around us.
And as these gifted individuals are telling us, persistently, loudly, repeatedly, we cannot remain in this current place any longer.
Change can be scary, but it’s time to move. It’s time to choose.
Put your boots on. Recognize and admit your uncertainty. Choose hope.
Feel the fear. Acknowledge it. Choose love.
Pack light. All that we’ll need is within.
It may feel like a time of chaos, but there is Divine Order in all of it.
And when we choose to believe this, when we choose to remember who we really are, it’s then that we will choose our path home.

Or as Richard Rohr says: Order—>Disorder—>Reorder
Some fascinating tidbit about water I just thought about. In Hebrew alphabet, the word for life, "chai" (חי), has a gematric number of 18, because the word is composed of the letters Chet (ח) and Yud (י), which have numerical values of 8 and 10 respectively. Water, or H2O, has a molecular mass of 18 (16 from oxygen + 2x1 from hydrogen).
I had a similar experience halfway through the Telepathy Tapes and was moved to tears multiple times by the Truth and Beauty of it all. It’s good to know that there are others like you out there
