What Would It Take For Us to See Reality Again?

If there’s one lesson I’ve learned from a deep study of the mystical aspects of spirituality it’s that Reality has been hiding for a very long time.

The Universe is reciprocal. If we see it as a living, magical world filled with miracles and wonder, then that’s exactly what it will become for us.

On the other hand if we view Reality as a dead, hostile environment that must be subdued for our very survival, then that’s the world we’ll get to inhabit.

And some might agree that this is the world we have.

But what if our ability to see is changing?

What would it take to help Humanity see just how magical our world can be?

A Modern Mystic

It was a Tuesday last November when I sent my pals the message:

Oh, to have Asher’s notebook.

I’d just finished episode 7 of The Telepathy Tapes podcast and my mind was blown. Everything I’d been studying regarding mystical principles and abilities was being revealed to the entire world through the individuals featured in the podcast.

I couldn’t believe it. What I’d initially thought of as a science podcast was slowly revealing the mystical realities experienced by many non-speaking, autistic individuals.

And of those featured, one of my favorites was Asher, a remarkable young man who was clearly a modern mystic.

Asher’s story was being shared beautifully by Jes Kerzen, his teacher and friend who appears throughout the series. Jes describes the story of meeting young Asher many years ago when he was a boy and the discovery of their telepathic connection, and how they remain in regular contact via telepathy even today, over twenty-five years after their initial meeting.

But it went beyond telepathy…

I was in awe of Asher’s insights, shared by Jes throughout the series, as they’re on par with some of the deepest mystical truths I’ve ever come across. And as I listened closely I could tell we were only scratching the surface of all Asher had to share.

Asher had direct access to these wonders of Reality that had gone into hiding from the rest of us. But he could see it. And he could describe it beautifully.

Thus my message above to my friends. If only we had access to more of Asher’s wisdom.

So imagine my thrill to discover that Jes and Asher had published a memoir of these many insights and experiences.

In A Mind Beyond Words Jes details their history together and reveals some of the most powerful insights Asher has shared with her over these last 25 years. Jes also speaks to her own mystical journey, with Asher as her trusted guide.

Wow, what a gift to hold and read this book. And it quickly became one of my go to recommendations for anyone wanting to explore reality-based spirituality further.

By Christmas The Telepathy Tapes was the top podcast in the world. Many of my friends were talking about it and several of them felt as if there was something awakening within them because of it.

Would this be how it begins? Was this podcast one of the catalysts that would help the world remember who we are?

I wrote recently about paying attention to the subtle forces in our lives. Even looking back at my story above about wanting to read Asher’s notebook should’ve been a stronger clue for me. And eventually I followed that desire/clue to do a simple search that led me to find their memoir.

So when the next intuition dropped I was perhaps a bit more ready for it.

Ah, I knew this feeling, and before long I was trading emails with her, proposing a simple, written Q&A interview that would be easy to execute and give us a format to explore some fun ideas. Jes was so lovely to collaborate with.

My goal was to build upon the wisdom that she and Asher share in A Mind Beyond Words while also creating a digestible, standalone offering for you all.

An Interview with Jes & Asher

Q: What has Asher’s reaction been to the success of The Telepathy Tapes?

Jes: That’s a lovely question to begin with.

As I reply here, I will occasionally need to draw a distinction between the two facets of Asher. There is the quiet, autistic, physical guy, who goes about his everyday life in London, chatting briefly to me via messaging or email every weekend but often trying to distance himself from his psychic skills in order to get by unnoticed, and blend into a neurotypical world, using words only when strictly necessary. In stark contrast, there is his metaphysical aspect, who will be familiar to readers of our book or listeners to The Telepathy Tapes.

The former initially claimed to take little interest in my intention to share our story. He agreed to it, so long as his anonymity wasn’t compromised. However, he gradually became more engaged, as he realised how many people were taking his ‘knowing’ seriously and, crucially, how many others had similar experiences. This ‘physical’ Asher took a keen interest in The Telepathy Tapes, validated the telepathic messages I shared on the podcast and asked to be copied in to all my correspondence with Ky Dickens. He also agreed to answer questions from Ky via email. He is delighted by TTT’s success, and I believe it has helped him to connect more closely to his psychic, multidimensional side.

With regard to the metaphysical Asher, he always knew it would work out this way! While I was still wondering whether anyone would believe our life story, he was insisting that those who needed to hear it would find it. In A Mind Beyond Words, he added, “As you share our story, others like you will acknowledge the wisdom and knowing they have seen in children or adults they care for or guide.”

Q: You and Asher tell your story in your book, A Mind Beyond Words, which has now become one of my favorite mystical books because of the way it introduces and explains so many of these concepts in plain, easily digestible language. Tell us about your experience of putting your collective stories out there for the public.

Jes: Thank you for your kind words.

Certainly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, since both of us have, in the past, been treated with derision or incomprehension when we tried to talk to family and friends about our experiences.

I would say the response since publication of our book and various podcast interviews has surpassed my wildest dreams. People from far and wide contact me to thank both of us for speaking out, assure me that our story is far from unique, and many have finally felt free to share the amazing experiences they have had with magical neurodivergent individuals.

Finally, I was able to accept that my communication with Asher was not some one-off freak of nature. Certainly, there were those who doubted or couldn’t accept my story, but the vast majority of people I encountered were more than willing to hear us out, fascinated to discover that such things were possible, or delighted that their own suspicions and experiences were being validated.

Q: Does Asher have interactions with what we might call spiritual or divine entities, such as guides, angels, or even E.T.s?

Jes: I’ll quote directly from one of Asher’s telepathic downloads to answer this question:

“This galaxy is a tiny part of the universe. Only scientists, working through maths, can imagine the scale of the cosmos – how massive and tiny it can be. The human imagination struggles with it. Even within our galaxy, there are beings who have elected to evolve differently from us. Some opt for some sort of physical life (though not always carbon-based) and others select different ways of being.

“I have chosen to avoid them, just as I do with humans, for the most part. However, some have made contact with me. I suppose you could say I allowed them to enter my conscious awareness. They are the beings who helped me to make the choices for my life plan before entering this incarnation. There are many terms used by humans to define them. Spoken language is not part of their experience.

“I’ve described how I gain information from the ‘library’ in The Realms. These beings, though, offer more personalised and subjective guidance and advice. It’s like learning from a caring teacher rather than by reading a textbook. Their instruction is directed specifically to me, in the context of my present incarnation.”

Q: In A Mind Beyond Words Asher briefly alludes to The Shift, which is a time of tremendous change for all of humanity. Now this part jumped out at me because I’ve been in touch with, and I’m tracking, a number of intuitives and spiritual teachers around the world who are describing a very similar thing. In the book Asher describes The Shift as beginning with a financial crisis that touches every layer of society; and from there we experience a sort of split between those who choose the old ways, and those who choose something new. Does Asher have a sense of when The Shift will begin?

Jes: Asher says that The Shift has already started, and the crisis is well underway. Certain people have (at soul/greater Self level) taken on the role of speeding up the process and are stretching the existing system to the breaking point.

All those currently alive have elected to be on the planet at this specific time, in order to experience this change. Not everyone will experience it in the same way, though. Some will resist or even ignore it and, as your question implies, see whether they can keep living in the old ways. Others – Asher feels this will be the majority – will embrace the new ways of living. He likens human life at this time to being in a kind of escape room. We have purposely chosen to be shut into an uncomfortable, difficult world, with its emphasis on scientific, rational, non-magical, non-mystical living, surrounded by targets and trials, fears and separations, in order to test our own ingenuity at finding the way out.

Q: Is The Shift something we should, or even can, prepare for? And if so, is it a physical preparation or something else?

Jes: As the previous answer implied, we are all, in a sense, ‘ready’ for it. Asher tells me that during the process, there will be further upheaval and certainly casualties, although all who suffer will have opted for that experience at a higher level.

We would suggest that anyone wanting to move into the new paradigm as smoothly and comfortably as possible might be wise to shift their mindset away from news media and acquiring possessions, focussing instead on raising vibration by concentrating on the beautiful, inclusive and loving state they wish to enjoy. Gandhi’s “Be the change you want to see in the world” has never been more appropriate.

Q: Some argue that AI and technological advancements could either accelerate or hinder human consciousness expansion. Does Asher see technology playing a role in The Shift, and if so, in what way?

Jes: I wasn’t sure of his take on AI, as it isn’t something we’ve discussed, so I asked him to comment during one of our regular telepathic dialogues. This happened to occur just after I’d been listening to Deepak Chopra discussing the potential value of AI. Asher’s response came through firstly as a clear download of information, typical of our usual sessions. Here is what I recorded:

“As I’ve told you before, the beginningless and endless library (or akashic records) I visit holds all thoughts there have ever been, regardless of whether we might consider them ‘good’ or ‘bad’, ‘helpful’ or ‘dangerous’. So, AI will ultimately hold a complete repository of all worded thoughts. It’s another example of technology on Earth mirroring The Realms. While it can indeed provide us with a rationale for psi abilities (something Dr Chopra had been arguing), it cannot have experience of anything that is subjective or sensory in nature. Eventually, words will become the domain of AI, while conscious awareness, feeling, and emotion will be expressed via non-local means.”

I thanked Asher for his input and after some closing words, went to bed. I was just falling asleep, when I felt a burst of anger streaming into my mind. It was definitely coming from Asher, but it now seemed to be the thoughts of physical Ash, rather than his calmer, metaphysical alter. He doesn’t often send me telepathic thoughts from his physical self these days, but it seems this aspect of him had been thinking about AI and needed to vent! I turned on the bedside lamp and wrote down, as best I could, the rant he was sending:

“AI churns out words – spews them out endlessly in all possible combinations! We have too many words already: words telling us what to believe, words with so much spin that no one believes the words they hear anymore.”

I was receiving visual images of whirling masses of verbiage pouring from a computer and blanketing the world. As the vision subsided, I stopped writing and went to sleep.

Asher is not a fan of words!

Q: Your book is full of simple explanations of how reality really works, and includes many practical applications for how we can align ourselves with that true reality to live a more fulfilling life. However I sometimes get the question of what would happen if someone were to use this knowledge and these tools for selfish, or even nefarious, purposes? Do you have any thoughts on this?

Jes: There have always been, and always will be, people from all walks of life who use these means of creating their own reality. Some have happened upon them by chance, some have learned from others – from ancient texts or modern life coaches, while others have discovered them by moving into altered states or from the kind of direct gnosis Asher experiences. This is the way reality actually works.

The selfish and nefarious are those who seek to conceal such truths from the populace at large: the experts, the religious and secular leaders who claim that they are needed to tell us all what to do and how to live our lives. That is the greatest deception. For millennia, people have willingly handed control and sovereignty to those who claim to ‘know best’.

I understand the point your question is making. Isn’t it dangerous if anyone – whatever their motives – learns to create their own reality? I’d reply that a) Reality is subjective, so mine will be quite different from yours and b) Perhaps it is infinitely more dangerous to allow a leader the power to control the reality of millions of individuals – to wage wars, to control trade, to demand compliance and to tell us what to believe.

Personal autonomy is scary, but it’s time to move out of the nursery and take responsibility for our own choices.

Q: It seems we have overwhelming evidence that all of these things, meaning telepathy and the many other abilities Asher and others demonstrate, are not only real, but that these experiences actually point to the only thing that’s real, which is Reality itself. Yet I’m surprised by how many individuals remain skeptical. How do you handle those who remain skeptical? And do you feel the skeptics are being intellectually honest in their skepticism? Or can they not help it?

Jes: To answer this, I’ll quote from a recent article Asher and I put together on Medium.com, about testing telepathic ability:

“Some are interested, intrigued and wanting to see what happens, in order to further scientific research and add to humanity’s knowledge base.

“Others have decided already that it cannot be true. The possibility is unthinkable for them. It violates all they believe. They have to debunk it, one way or another. If that involves changing goalposts and making wholly unrealistic demands for endless replications and whatever else would make the tests virtually unworkable, that’s what they’ll do. This is not malice or evil intent. They are desperate people, fighting to protect their worldview, their reputations, and their life’s work.”

We therefore leave those people to their own perceptions. We’re not here to evangelise or persuade. We simply share our truth and allow others to form their own opinions.

Q: Many people today feel lost, isolated, or disconnected from meaning. What advice would you and Asher give to those who feel trapped in the old paradigm, but want to awaken to the new?

Jes: Realising that each of us, and indeed every cell in our bodies, is a part of Consciousness, Source, the zero point field, God, or however we choose to label it, is the first step toward freedom. Once we believe and accept that, we cease to be victims or passive observers and start to play our part in creating our lives.

It’s not by chance that at this time, we are being shown how different life can be to the dreary and difficult game we’ve been caught up in. The many testimonies from Near Death experiencers, children who remember past incarnations, the autistic and other non-speakers and semi-speakers who have found ways to communicate, along with the freedom all such people now have to spread their word through the Worldwide Web, rather than having to attempt to penetrate mainstream media, mean that all of us can now read and listen to ideas that reverse the old paradigm.

Our advice would be to reach into your own heart, to search out the truth that works for you, to spend time each day in quiet contemplation and, above all, to believe that you have the power and ability to create your own reality.
